I keep seeing Kaplan recommended for financial planning courses and CFP prep on here, but is it really that much better than other providers, or are people just repeating the same advice? Has anyone actually compared Kaplan to less expensive alternatives like Dalton, Zahn, or the many new online providers popping up?
I’m skeptical that Kaplan’s higher price tag is justified. Are the materials and support genuinely superior, or is this just brand familiarity? Would love to hear from people who’ve tried multiple study methods or who passed the CFP exam using something besides Kaplan. What did you actually find helpful, and do you think spending more makes any practical difference in your test results or knowledge?
