I've been hearing a lot about financial advisor representatives lately and I'm a bit confused about what they actually do. Are they just the face of a bigger firm, or do they provide personalized advice like independent advisors? How can I tell if I'm talking to someone who has my best interests in mind versus just trying to sell a product? Also, if anyone's worked with one, what kinds of questions did you find helpful to ask before deciding to move forward? I’m pretty new to all this and any guidance would be awesome.
